My Middle Name: W-A-I-T.......

It's almost October, and I sure thought I would be in my home by now and have some pictures to share at long last. Instead, we continue to W-A-I-T, for weeks now with no knowledge of when it will end, for the last danged county inspector to get here already and sign off on something called a DCD Environmental Review, which I guess has to do with the county okaying that our site is approved to place our home on. No one will give us any indication of when this person is coming, and of course there is no 100% guarantee they will sign off with no further delay when they do finally get here. Our builder's rep has also tried calling several times, and they will not return her calls. We are not alone; it's apparently a county-wide problem due to not enough inspectors to go around and a lot of people waiting to get their permits before winter arrives. It's beyond frustrating to be this close to my dream at long last, and be powerless to bring that dream to completion because of some bureaucrats who could care less. I hope the next update will be one of genuine forward progress but till then, my middle name will continue to be spelled W-A-I-T.
